Leica DMC 2900

  • 3.1 Megapixel CMOS
  • 30 frames per second live image speed
  • Displays real-time images

Integrated with Leica Microsystems’ microscopes and LAS (Leica Application Suite) software, the Leica DMC2900 digital camera with 3.1 Megapixel standard resolution, produces fast, real-time, high-quality, full-color images for any application.

Image data is delivered at very high frame rates of 30 frames per second, so specimen manipulation can be done while viewing on an HD flat screen instead of through the microscope eyepieces.

This digital camera is an ideal tool for brightfield microscopic standard applications in research, life science and industry that often require capturing, documenting and analyzing color images at optimum visibility of microstructures in little time.

  • USB 3.0 saves time

Get your images high speed – the USB 3.0 interface will provide you with fast live images at up to 30 frames per second at XGA-resolution. This will make setup and focusing of your samples convenient.

  • Improved color processing

The camera uses a powerful CIE-Lab color engine and therefore offers real time image processing with stable live image speed – also when applying shading or sharpening to the live image.

  • Optimum resolution

The camera’s reliable CMOS color sensor offers 3.1 Megapixel – the most commonly recommended resolution for microscopy at high to very high magnification. A removable UV/IR cutoff filter protects the sensor from invisible light and dust.

  • Brightfield imaging in LAS AF

The camera is fully compatible with LAS AF, recommended for advanced life science research with widefield microscope systems. It can also be easily extended by additional software packages to match the users need.
